Luxembourg American Cemetery
The resting place of over 5,000 American soldiers, including General George S. Patton.
The cemetery in Hamm, on the eastern edge of Luxembourg City, holds the graves of 5,076 American service members, many of whom died in the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944–45. General George S. Patton is buried here among his soldiers. The memorial chapel and maps tell the story of the liberation.
