Grund and Neumünster Abbey

The picturesque lower town on the Alzette, with a former abbey turned cultural centre.

Grund lies at the foot of the cliffs, with old houses, footbridges and riverside paths. Neumünster Abbey, rebuilt in the 17th century, is now the 'neimënster' cultural centre with concerts, exhibitions and a terrace by the river. In the evening the quarter's pubs and restaurants are lively.
